Say My Name Productions believes in telling unapologetically real stories that represent the diverse and vibrant experiences of the Black British LGBT community. Founded by Kofi Kofi Kofi in 2012, they are committed to challenging the narratives that limit or misrepresent us.

Say My Name Productions was founded out of frustration with gatekeepers who demand they compromise their truth. The company refuses to fit into boxes that weren’t designed for them, and they are here to reclaim their stories, unapologetically and authentically.
Say My Name Productions is done with diluted versions of the Black British experience—no more being criminalised or victimised.
They are taking control of their narratives and creating work that is genuine, powerful, and represents who we are.
Instead of waiting for permission, Say My Name Productions is pushing forward, creating productions on stage, film, and anywhere they are celebrated.

Kofi has received the Tower Hamlets LGBT award for his outstanding work in the LGBT community.
Over 10 years, Kofi has mentored young people at Eastside Young Leaders Academy, empowering them through drama and creative expression.
Say My Name Productions is proud to work with a diverse and talented team of professionals who share their passion for authentic storytelling.

Founder and visionary behind Say My Name Productions, Kofi is a seasoned writer with over 25 years of experience in stage and screen. His work advocates for the positive representation of the Black British LGBT community.

Tony is a music producer from North London’s Broadwater Farm, bringing sharp discipline and heavyweight experience to the studio. Currently the driving force behind the ReBirth dance track, he commands the sound, structure, and momentum of the project.
His journey includes a period of reflection and recalibration during his years in the system—a chapter that evolved into a powerful story of reformation. Tony now moves with the earned respect of a man who has mastered his craft and his path.
He brings high-stakes discipline to every session, ensuring projects are professional and intentional. A man of his word, Tony’s work on ReBirth reflects his evolution: a high-tier producer delivering purposeful sound with the credibility of someone who has seen it all and come out on top.

Charlotte is a writer attentive to what often remains unspoken. She approaches storytelling as a form of engagement rather than display, with a steady interest in how marginalised experience can be held, shaped, and made legible through careful craft.
Of Windrush descent, her voice is informed by cultural memory and an awareness of how identity is formed and constrained over time. Her writing moves away from performance and respectability, allowing lived experience to surface with clarity and weight.
Charlotte was drawn to Say My Name Productions because its work shares this orientation: a seriousness about emotional truth, an openness to complexity, and a resistance to flattening what is lived. Her writing, like the company’s work, attends to Black British lives as interior, layered, and lived in full.

Creative Mentor & Film Educator
Rob, a film educator at London Met Film School, provided critical clarity and support during the development of Abomination. Acting as a trusted creative mentor, he championed the project’s artistic growth while explicitly respecting the Black gay leadership and authorship at its core.
This collaboration reflects Rob’s professional commitment to LGBTQ+ storytelling that engages critically with identity and belief systems. His principled support was rooted in accountability—prioritizing listening and safeguarding the project’s integrity as it addresses the harms experienced by Black queer communities. By standing with the work, he helped ensure it was developed with intentional care and lived-experience authenticity.
